The Restaurant:
Our spacious self-service restaurant has become an attraction in its own right and features in numerous guides. We have been a member of the Taste of Scotland scheme since it was established and have managed to succeed in having 100% of our menu produced on the premises. Our menu features everything from a light snack to a three-course indulgence, all reasonably priced, but in healthy portions
Our reputation over the years has always been for imaginative soups – there's always something that little bit different on our daily soup list – today there's Curried Apple and Parsnip, Tattie Drottle and our famous Cullen Skink. You'll find at least three different soups to choose from all the time but during the main season you'll usually find five.

More of The Restaurant:
Soups and main meal items produced in the main kitchens are hearty affairs. We always have a selection of traditional Scottish dishes on offer, as well as the internationally recognised Lasagne, Pasta Bolognaise and macaroni. Pasta dishes do feature on our all day menu – these are so popular with the customers who have been hill walking, cycling or whatever healthy pursuit they have been doing!
Vegetarians have a huge amount of choice – not just baked tatties either – Hebridean Leek Pie, Vegetable lasagne, Vegetable bake to mention just a few. Our enthusiasm for vegetarian soups and meals has gained us two entries in Peter Irvines Scotland The Best – one for the whole restaurant, which Peter rates as One of the best of its kind in Britain, and a separate vegetarian entry.
